Can you be more specific? Timing at idle is about 15 degrees. What in particular are you looking for? As long as your car idles fine and there's no CEL, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd be more interested in what it does when you are putting some load on the engine, such as, fuel trim, timing, manifold pressure, etc.

"Therein10" sorry , I didn't mean to steal your thread, but looks like I may have discovered a problem of my own
Man, that means I really need to check into my timing. I datalogged my car again at idle, and again, I got 15 degrees. I also pulled a code and found out I got a "timing belt off by 1 tooth." I even had a Mitsu dealer mechanic checked my timing, and he couldn't figure out why it threw that code, and that the crank and cam gears are aligned correctly. Any ideas anyone??? I can tell you the wire cable that goes to the camshaft sensor melted on the egr pipe once, but it looked to be the wire loom that melted. Would that have shorted the wires and/or messed up the camshaft sensor?
