any autos out there with an afx udp. does it help the bottom end on an at?...im sick of the car going into too high a gear and not going anywhere till i push the gas and get wiplash (feel like an ass) from it shifting the whole way to first. i also got a tb to get bored...will that help the bottom end. (more air with less throttle so it wont have to shift) just curious

i havent dynoed or anything..but it did feel peppier.
guess it would depend on whatelse you got on your car.

one thing i noticed for sure.. if when i let go of the brake while on DRIVE and not step on the gas.. the car goes much faster than before.. dunno if that is a good thing.. like i said that is one noticeable difference i felt.

Its been proven to add 10-12hp to the wheels..you cant go wrong with it. Just wait till you see the pulley that comes off. It is way bigger and heavier.

Hehe I know what you mean about letting off the gas and it still going, especially if you have the AC on. It tends to keep pulling you slightly instead of decellarating if you have the AC on too...

ok the unorth pulley did what it was supposed to do revs are much quicker and the at has no problem shifting it .. now alittle fyi ...the chrysler auto isnt good at all for shifting ...donnot shidft her manually please please please ...as u all know i destroyed my old one... that day i was caught in traffic and a 300m was fucking with me (riding right up my ass and trying to cut in front of me ... i wasnt having it .. )... so i dropped the o/d off and shifted into 1st ..(so i could get that torquey looking jump whenever i hit the gas to show that i was annoyed )..... and I was reving her really hard ... later that night my friend and i raced home from his job ... and later that evening when testing her out at the line the tranny gave ... so dont over use the car ... limit your self to some race situations and do NOT manually shift ... the stress is to great ... and another thing i found out is that the tranny fluid seal is horribly weak ... thats what gave on my car .... so if you are over 37000k on your tranny proceed with caution ... but if your warrantied blow it !!!! and get a new one @!@!!@ i have a whopping 150 miles on the tranny now !~~! and all i have to say is that this thing is awesome ...fit for the upgrading ... after and exaust ... the tranny is the next preformance mod ...

LAST EDITED ON 19-Apr-01 AT 06:09 AM (PST)

im trying klip but if i go tq converter i will need the auto kit also ... doing just one i was told from my friend pete who works at the garage is like having a 15psi turbo and no intercooler ... it just wont be good .. so with all the new seals and bands the tranny would be reinforced ..1100 for the parts and i dont know how much in labor but considering u manual guys pay about 800 for flywheel and clutch i cant see a problem with spending 300 more for a more complex system...

now Talon asked if i have the stock tranny ... im begining to wonder if i do ... i had the car jacked up the other day when i was with my friend pete ... he wanted to look ... he said that it looks bigger and im noticing that when i put her in gear the stick isnt where its supposed to be ... maybe they fucked up ... i will call and find out .. when i am in drive the little red line is a little above the D ... which makes me think its not properly lined up ... or its different tranny maybe a bigger one ? maybe a v6 avengers? .....droool... that would be nice ... but unlikely .. i remember the guy at the shop saying with a smile that i would like this tranny .... i will report soon ...but either way .. it runs like the dickens .. i ran it yesurday ...shes close to 200 miles now and i just couldnt resist .. she flew ... much faster than the old ... but thats just cause the teeth on these gears are just dying for some action ... im thinking about going to english town just to try and get an e/t i will post and let you guys know
now talon running an auto is ok ... just remember not to over use it ... meaning dont go crazy flooring it from light to light ... use your power wisely and no problems will persist .. honestly after a day when u encounter more than one honda " hero " add a small pinch of tranny fluid ... it couldnt hurt

hey Oracle
Is that with just a Torque converter? What kind of trans is it? Are the shifts really firm? Oh by the way I was just wondering If you guys had you car pull forward when comming to a stop? I have that on my car and I talked to some guy on this board about it, I don't seem to be having any problems with the car at all. I haven't really driven another auto eclipse and am not sure if it does that in stock form. Just wondering if it is an early sign of trans related problems.

Na man, that's normal for ATs. I have a 99 and it does that also....mostly when the AC is on. I'm about to install my AF/X pulley and I've heard it does it more then....I'll see though.
