OK, I took off my head today. I was looking at the exhaust valves and they are pure white. Wha could be causing this? I did go over 1600 degrees on the egt on the parkway racing a camaro. Am I too lean? Or is this normal? I dont want to f up the fereas goin in. best time so far 14.3 @ 101.1mph

Normal. Exhaust valves get hot, which burns off all the carbon and deposits and leaves white ash.

if things behind the exhaust are white then it could be coolant or there is a sweet smell to the exhaust.
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.
