If I bore out the little hump in my throttle body I dont haveto replace the butterfly or anything correct?

That is correct. Just make sure that you don't bore into the area where the plate seals in the bore of the TB and you'll be fine.

hm well I tried....There was more than just 2 bolts and 2 connections holding it on so I took that and the throttle cable off NOW i HAVE A CEL...ANY HELP?

Hm would not replacing the gasket cause the higher idle(1500) and the holding at 2500rpm for a few seconds....and the cel??Im not TOO worried but yeah..

either you forgot to hook up the IAC motor which is one of the wire harnesses I believe the one on the bottom of the TB, or you broke/forgot the gasket which yes, both will cause a bad idle and cel for vacuum reding off

Doh..I can get the gaskets from autozone or advanced auto parts correct is there a part number or nething??(I feel like a newb all over again...)

As long as the stock gasket isnt torn or ripped, i bet you could just use some RTV on both sides of it. If not then you can get a replacement gasket.

try and pull your codes too to see if thats even the problem. but any small vacuum leak at the throttle body will cause idle problems.

IAC is circled in green.

Check for Vac leaks, double check installations of the IAC (idle air controller) and TPS (throttle position sensor), replace the TB gasket with something from autozone etc or use a sealant such as RTV gasket maker.

Napa gasket is a dollar..
Make sure that you didnt do this job w/those sensors on. You would clog them up really easily. I did this w/Map sensor when i did my intake manifold. all the shavings got in the sensor.

yeah the RTV gasket sealer fixed everything.Idles fine and no more CEL...Thanks everyone
