#65297, "Why is the 60mm to big for the bottom end"
I am wondering why it is bad to loose the bottom end with a really big TB. Wouldn't it be a good thing to have alot on the top end and not care about the bottom end. If you do loose power will you get it back on the top end to over come the loss? I am asking because i have a 60mm MP TB , and a 55mm TB I am not sure which one i wont to use.

use the 60mm tb! you will notice more benefit than not. havent heard about anyone loosing bottom end with it. just make sure you can port your intake opening to take advantage of the 60mm!

Since our cars are FWD, I think it's an advantage to not have as much low end torque because of traction problems--only if your car is turbo. A big turbo will allow you to really accelerate in the mid to higher RPM's, but in an n/a car, I think you need more low end just to get a good jump off the line just because it might be your only chance to stay ahead. Sorry for the racing example. It's the only one I could think of

I didn't go to the track at all this season (overheating problems), but last season I ran 13.88 @ 107 mph (18-19psi) in stage IV trim, a slipping CM stage 3 clutch, stock gs-t catback, and with an untuned HRC/Accel "base" fuel map; 2.35 60 ft. I was running very rich and was literally shooting fuel out the exhaust. Oh, traction was a problem, too.
The e/t could be better, but I still need a lot of practice driving down the track. Not to make excuses, but I only made it to the track once last season--same day I made the 13.8 run. If everything holds up in 2004 (needing new clutch as we speak), I hope to get the car on the dyno to fine tune the DFI fuel map. I am also hopeful of high 12's next season.
