Ok since it was nice today finally...I decided to do some maintenance. I changed the oil, coolant, and changed the oil filter. I started the car and ran it for like 2-3 minutes and everything was fine. So then I use a can of mopar combustion chamber cleaner and let it set for 10 minutes. I started it back up and was going to let it sit for 5 minutes and change the spark plugs. Well I was looking around in the engine bay while I let it run and I noticed that oil was GUSHING out of the back of the block somewhere. I probably lost 3 quarts in a matter of 20-30 seconds. WTF could be going wrong? I'm going to go buy some more oil to try to figure out where it is coming from, but does anyone have any suggestions?!?

Keepin it clean!!

did you forget the remove the old gasket on the oil filter, double gasketing the oil filter will do it.

did you forget to put the drain plug back on or not tight enough

I agree with the above post. The oil filter is probably not screwed in tightly, or the oil pan plug is probably loose or not tight. That actually to me once. I had screwed in the oil plug, but had forgotten to tighten it. Is the oil car screwed in?? Just something else to check. emoji
