OK my car's been feeling pretty sluggish as of late, and the CEL has been on for a while now and I figured it was just moisture in the intake, but that usually clears up and the light goes off.
So I contacted a buddy of mine, who has a laptop and the Chrysler program for reading codes, info etc and we hooked her up. The only code flagged was P1494, and it gave a very vague description, explaing "Emission Related Diagnostic Condition". Yeah thats useful.
So I get home and look it up in my Chilton, and it gave a somewhat better explanation: "Evaporative emission ventilation solenoid switch" or mechanical fault.
My question is, has anyone ever had to deal with anything in the EGR system, specifically the EEVSS? In a schematic for vacuum hose routing, its directly connected to the EVAP cannister and the throttle body.

Also, we noticed that my idling throttle position was very high. Steve said he has his DSM calibrated at 0% for idle, so any throttle given makes a difference immediatly noticable on the screen. Mine was at 11.8% at idle, which works out to the throttle being only 75% open while its at WOT
Im gonna test the resistance on the pins in the TPS sensor to see if its pooched, and if it is, then Ill replace it and hopefully my Talon will get some ballzzz back

Our TPS sensor doesn't read correctly on any logger. it is not a malfunction of the TPS, that is how they are supposed to work.

no sure how relevant this is, but some people block off their EGR systems. theres a write-up somewhere. EGR just puts exhaust gas back into the clean intake air to reduce emissions. good thing theres no emissions in AL. woot.
