#645, "emissions sensor problems after Iceman install"

I installed a Iceman CAI on my 95 Eclipse and since then the CEL has been on with a code for the sensor that atatches to the intake and the exhaust that is on the front driver side of the motor. I also have a Hot-Shot header which leaves me with no place to hook the sensor on the exhaust side either. I am planning on a ECU upgrade and was told by JET that I need to get that code off of there before I send them the computer. Please help!!!!! Thanks

are you talking about the O2 sensor? what do you mean there is no place to hook up that sensor to in your hotshots? if you are running without your O2 sensor hooked to your headers, then that's your problem and I would say hook the thing asap.

I don't think your intake has anything to do with the code you are getting.

...and don't bother with the JET ECU upgrade. They've done dyno tests on that ECU and it shows -ZERO- inprovement over stock. For $400, there's better mods out there.

Dont use JET too many horror stories.

Besides I doubt the ability of the company to reprogram an ECU if they dont know the ECU trouble codes are reset when the battery is disconnected for a while. And even if that wasn't so they should be able to clear the codes if they can reprogram my ECU.
