Greetings; Every few months for about a day my car will act up. (its probably its time of the month, eh? ha ha) ANYWAYS--When I go to start it, it wont start. It will act like its going to, RPM climbs, and comes straight back down and dies. HOWEVER, if I pump the gas, I can keep it running and after a minute or two, it will not die if I let off. Now, if i take it out on the highway-- sometimes it will die going down the road. Sometimes it will die at a stop... and sometimes i'll be driving and it sort of bucks, jumps or studders, and drives fine... what might you think is the problem?
I've replaced the spark plugs ( bosh platnum 4 ) i've replaced the fuel filter... i havent replaced the spark plug wires in about a year... but its done the same thing since they were new, so im not sure if they're the problem. Anyways, i'd appreciate any help, thoughts or solutions to my problem at hand. Thanks,

It was doing this before i replaced the fuel filter. I replaced it thinking that was the problem or something, but obviously it wasnt. And when I installed it, I did make sure the flow direction was correct....

umm, what exactly do you mean by 'dropping it a couple inches'... it could be that now and then its just bad gas. Because I can press the gas and keep it running when its trying to die.
