What is the best way to take the heater core out? and is it possible to remove the heater core w/o taking out the dash?

It's a PITA... I've never done it, but you can easily bypass it at the firewall.

Just curious: why?

I just changed mine a week ago... and it is the biggest pain in the ass... you have to remove the entire dash and center console assembly.... no other way about it.

And he probably blew a leak in his heater core like happened to me... a 99 eclipse and the core BLEW.... wtf is up with that.

Was easier to rip out and rebuild the tranny or engine than to do the heater core... haha.

BTW, the reason you have to remove the dash is that the heater core slides into the TOP of the heater assembly.... so theres no way to get to it without removing the dash... I know I tried...

Hit me up if you want a step by step walk through... I could do it real easy again if I had to.
