#64041, "neon vs. eclipse oil pan, and egr valve"

i found a place that sells egr block plates and windage trays for the neon DOHC...i email the guy and he said he wasn't sure if either of these would work on the eclipse version...here is what he wrote:

I do not know for a fact, but I would not think that there would be any problem with the windage tray, as long as it has the same oil pan and oil pump/pu arrangement.

As far as the EGR plate, the intake would have to be the same layout and use the same EGR set up from the factory, which I do not have anything here that shows the set up for your vehicle, so I can not verify that for you. If your engine has the same intake and EGR set up, the block plate should work fine. I would not think they would have done different ones, but sometimes with emissions stuff, I have no idea where the logic is.

any ideas...i think the oil pan is different, but the egr stuff should be the same....any ideas???

I hope you know that the eclipse now has a "crankscraper" made for the 420a 2gnt oil pan. I have one and it's working great.

I didnt think the windage tray from the neon would work

but that crankscrrapper link above will work

and the egr blockoff will work just fine, but not the windage tray, its too tall or something

Oops!

I was thinking crankscraper when he said windage tray. Yeah, it's too tall for our crossmember.
