#63732, "Which Cat-back/companies that make downpipes for our car?"

I've been thinking of getting the Apexi N1 catback but some people on this forum like the Greddy EVO. Im really looking for something that provides me with good gains in horsepower as for the sound im looking for something that sounds good and deep not something really loud. also do you guys know of any companies that make downpipes for our car cause i know Apexi makes them the but only for the GST/GSX models.

i think greddy makes a header/downpipe combo and a catback. I personally have the greddy evo catback and love it. I don't know of any companies that make just a downpipe though. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Is the Greddy EVO loud or is it just right?

The EVO is naturally (due to it's design) the quitest/deepest performance exhaust you can get for our cars.

I have Greddy all the way back, minus my high flow cat. I love it and wouldnt trade it for anything. I bought my header/downpipe used, but new you'll drop around $400 bones for the setup. I bought my EVO used too. I've got $600 from the exhaust side of my head to my back bumper. =) The exhaust note is killer. I love it. I thought it might be too loud at HWY speeds, but its a drastic change from 70mph to 85mph, you barely know its there. BTW, low rpms sound mean. I even get a nice little back fire(the good kind) cruising through parking lots at around 1300-1800 rpms in 1st/2nd. Just my 0.02. Goodluck. emoji

i love my apex'i n1. it's loud, but not too loud. it has a nice deep tone to it, no raspiness at all. i have the 3 inch piping, and it seemed to help the top end quite a bit. 123 whp, which from my understanding is pretty good for just an intake and exhaust. look and see if you can find some sound clips or vide clips of each so you can hear them. im sure they are both good, but i like mine the best, of course.

Here's the Greddy. Bolts up like stock. Sounds great. I have some Greddy headers I'm going to install soon. Cruising at 70 is not a problem. Above 80 and it gets loud. I like the rapp sound between gear shifts.

I gotta tint those tails

apexi worldsport catback is the best sounding exhasut for a 2gnt turbo imo

other than that, greddy makes a header and downpipe combo that worls great (its sitting in my garage at the moment actually, waiting for the day a cop catches my not so carb legal turbo kit, lol)

okay, i'll put in for the A'PEXi side of this one. I have the N1 catback on my car. i love the sound of it throughout the rpm range, never sounds like a shitty tip, has a nice deep tone at low rpm, and it sounds wicked higher up, espeically with my AEM cai, i love the combo. as far as headers to match up with it, i will wait for the downpipe coming from a stage 2 turbo someday, lol. the N1 on the highway isnt bad at all, it is loud and deep cruising, but with the silencer on it is not bad at all, it drastically cuts down the sound and cuts a few of the extra hp for those longer highway trips. go with the apexi n1 all the way. hope this helps..

The term "catback" refers to the piping starting after the catalyst on back.
