#63615, "omg my HRC fuel pump is DEAD...DEAD...dead..."

i was on my way out today (mind you this is the last day i planned on driving my car this year), and my HRC fuel pump was nice and noisy for a few minutes like usual, and then it got real quiet. My car didn't die, in fact it continued to run normal. EGTs weren't high or anything, so i dont think it was lean. It doesn't make any noise anymore, no priming, when you get real close you can hear a real low grumble sorta like a stock pump. That's all you can hear. It starts and runs, but i don't know how dangerous it is to drive it.
I got out to check my fuel pressure, it was about 10psi below normal (19psi), but when i revved it spiked like normal. I don't know whether to trust it or what?

Same thing happened to me. I cut the power and ground wire and reconnected them. It worked fine after that. I think my ground wire got corroded somehow.

Also check the electrical terminals on the pump itself. They like to break off.

HRC *may* replace it for you under warranty... don't push it if they say no though.

I finally tested it today, 13.8 volts to each connector. I guess that means it's dead.
The only thing I didn't look at would be adjusting the FPR. Although it was getting 19psi, and pressure was still coming up when i revved it, I didn't want to try to adjust it. I don't think that had anything to do with the problem, so i'm not touching it emoji. so, looks like i'm buying a new one emoji.

...that I'll sell you. I'll sell it with already attached stainless steel fuel lines, fittings, and the shield. I recently uninstalled mine since I run low fuel pressures with a Walbro.

Email me to discuss a price at j.boltz@insightbb.com

I am looking for a less noisy solution, do you, or anyone else have experience with HRC's *new* in-tank pump? If HRC will not offer me any replacement, I will go with your setup, but i'm very annoyed by that fuel pump.

i've read that the hrc intank pump is just like the walbro fp.
