#636, "Venom 400"

I have installed a Venom 400 in car and It runs a bit better. No more lag at the stop lights }>. You mainly FEEL it after a shift and the motor is building speed. I did have a problem ONCE. I stopped at a gas station with some friends and turned the car off. When I go to turn the car back on my ENGINE LIGHT pulled up an error code! I freaked and turned the car off and then turned the Venom off. Then turned the car on with the Venom deactivated, no engine light. So I turned the car off again and activated the Venom, No problems ever since.

Um from what I heard, all the venom 400 does it trick the car into thinking you have the gas pedal pressed down more than it really is. It does nothing at wide open throttle (when you floor it), and all the dynos show no improvements at WOT. I had a debate with a vendor about it, and he just kept saying, its designed to be safe so it does not work at WOT. It only makes everyday driving easier since you don't have to push the gas pedal down as hard. Hmm anyone else have any opinions on this?

yeah, your right...It does nothing at WOT... The venom came from my car which is stick, but B's car is an auto, I thought it would help with the shifts, kind of like keeping the revs high when shifting in a 5 speed...

Hey, I didn't realize til now that you had two different eclipses in vector racing...what color is each one? Does the lighter blue have white pearl in it? I've been contemplating maybe going with a darker (almost navy) blue with a white pearl, but I'm not sure how that would come out...

No, It's just a baby blue. Nothing crazy (yet}>)currently my car is under construction and has the stock body parts back on (except the rear bumper) in favor of new aftermarket pieces.

We still have two other members in Vector Racing and possably a third on the way. If you would like to see us in person we will be at the Sport Compact Jam in Carlisle PA on May 5-6.

Not really, I would invest in upgrading the auto trans internaly rather than trying to "beat around the bush".

I have a 99 RS auto. If u are running an auto, do not buy it. My car was going like 60 one time and I wasn't touching the ga! It started tripping out my tranny and revving the car on it's own. Eventually, even with the thing turned off! I finally had it taken off when I had it disengaged and the engine light continued to come on everyday and when it eventually blew out my shift sensors leaving me with 2 choices, shift it manually, or not at all and only having high gear. It isn't good to drive an auto like a stick all the time, and it definetly isn't good to only have 1 gear. I took it off and went to the dealer. I left no signs of it being on the car, so my warranty covered the damaged sensors.
