#63548, "First drive in 7 months! But some problems."

I took the car for a spin. Its a kick ass feeling to be driving my car again. But I have some problems.

Sometimes when I gas it, it hesitates a little. It takes a split second for it to pick up. And when I turned off the car and popped the hood, i got a big puff of smoke.

Is it hesitating because it's getting use to running again? The reason why my car was down was because of an oil leak. Could it be that it's just steaming from the excess oil. I see no oil leaks, and the smoke is coming from the back of the block.

The car feels incredibly hot also, when I let it idle, i can see smoke/steam coming from the turbo.

I am very paranoid right now. I really dont want to mess up my car again. I've been staring at the gauges like none other. Please give me some reponses so i can either rest asured or at least know what the problem is.

check basic things like plugs, wires, coil pack. If it hasn't been driven in 7 months.. you need to do a complete tune up.

Good Luck

I'm so stoked, my car doesnt smoke anymore! But i still have the hesitation. I changed the plugs already, don't know about my wires and coil pack. What else should I check for?

BTW, I'm so f-ing excited my car is running!

AZ2GNT to tucson? That would be bad ass.

But anyways, im in the break in period, so rather then risking me boosting when i dont want to, i disconnected the piping for the turbo and put on the short ram. And I do have the missing link installed.

It hesitates in low rpm's and high rpm's. But is ok around 3k-4500, dont know about higher, never tried.

And after you drive, when you pop the hood, does smoke come from your turbo? Maybe it's because its during the winter, but is this normal? Or am I in trouble? Maybe it's not getting oil to it or coolant to it.

I wish you a smooth break-in and happy driving.

Replaced the wires but got a code 43 yesterday, I'm hoping its the coil pack, otherwise, i'm stumped.
