#63173, "need help with egr block off crap..."

i finally got around to cutting the plates yesterday, but while i was taking it of i had tons of problems...

first i was taking that part off of the motor it self the one that looks like a space ship... the top bolt came off fine but the bottom one wouldn't budge i broke to drive adaptors trying to tak if off....

so i figured ok, i'll just take off the steel line from that space ship thing to the manifold... got those off, made the plates go to put them on, the manifold bolts up fine, but the bolts will not thread into the space ship part at all!!!!

i got one bolt in but the other is not going in...

if that part leaks what would happen? nothing bad right??

also could i fill that hole up with quick steel stuff instead??

thanks

I just took off my egr valve to clean it yesterday night. The bottom bolt is a bitch to put back in. Keep on trying it will fit (if you've not ruin the threads). And I'm sure you'll have a bad Idle if that thing leaks.

Good Luck

yes your idle will suck your grand mothers ass. lol, sorry. after i did my headgasket job, i forgot about the one bolt breaking that held hose to the "spaceship thing", so only one of the two bolts were in. i went ahead and drove it around and my idle was anything but good. and yes that bottom bolt had me throwing shit all over my garage, i swear it took me 20 mins just to get that @#%$@#* thing in there. boy was i on edge after that little episode.
