yesterday night I got a cel 32 while I was on the highway, the car ran fine until i got into the city and it started ideling funny. I checked the vaccum lines they are fine. How would I go about checking the egr valve and egr selonoid to check if they are working?

There is a really long way to do it, you need a hand held vacuum guage.
you can test the solenoid by using an ohmmeter and it should read 25-30 ohms at 68degrees, just measure across the terminals.

Ive had problems with the valve sticking, you can take it off and give it a good cleaning. your code 32 can be alot of things. If you want the chiltons has a 5 paragraph section on how to test the egr system I can scan it and send it to you if you want

woo hoo.. I took it off cleaned it real good and it idles fine now.

btw any idea on how much does the new egr valve costs?
