Or can that shit go? you know, that long closed metal plumbing that sits right where the IC should go... can that stuff take a hike or is it needed for something?

Are you refering to the power steering line in front of the condensor?

If not, some have removed the EVAP system and done some resistor in the solenoid to reduce the CEL occurance.

I think your talking about the power steering cooler (of for cooling purposes) lines. I'm gonna remove mine and put the mini 4 pass cooler that Jegs sells behind the passenger side bumper cutout.
