Sup guys.
I am ordering a new SFMU straight from Vortech...
I guess it's "TOO HARD" for Bill to give his selling stuff some honor of its own. NOTHING GOOD I guess....

ANyway, I want to ask for sure this time.
Can all of you who got a SFMU, give me some ideas of where I can get the adaptors fitting for the SFMU, so I can go buy them and put them onto my SFMU (the coming new one)

THanks alot!

Like online site, local store, pictures of your fuel line and adaptors for the SFMU..
THanks, greatly appreciated.
GIl

The fuel connections on the S-FMU are female -06 AN. The adapters you buy depend on your fuel lines. I was using 1/4" rubber line, so I bought a -06 AN male to 1/8" NPT male adapter, 1/8" NPT coupler, and 1/8" NPT male to 1/4" barb adapter. The connections on the S-FMU require O-rings to seal. You can steal the O-rings off of the included fittings and swap them onto the AN to NPT adapters.

You'll have to buy the AN fittings from Jeg's, Summit, or a speed shop.

corbin is right. they are -6AN female. also don't buy the dapter kit from vortech you will not use it. like corbing said just get a -6an to whatever you are using on the hose end. I used #6 s/s hose. so just had to buy a male to male -6an connector and hooked the hose right on.

AN fittings on the SFMU dont need O rings to seal. They use flared ends, which is a pressure fit seal. NPT needs teflon to seal. I think I have seen AN fittings that aren't flared, but I could be wrong. The SFMU uses flared male -6AN ends, which means you need female -6AN fittings to connect them together. No O rings.

The Aeromotive FPR has AN fittings that aren't flared. Those require non-flared AN fittings with o-rings. Fairly expensive.

My S-FMU had female -06 AN connections on the body with no place for the flare to seal against. It came with male -06 AN couplers. The end of the coupler that fit into the S-FMU body used an O-ring to seal against the body. I decided to eliminate the middle man and toss the included -06 couplers. I stole the O-rings off the included couplers and put them on my -06 AN male to 1/8" NPT male adapters. In this circumstance, the O-rings were necessary to seal.

Really? Thats interesting. The past 4 SFMU's I have bought/worked with, have come with the male -6AN fittings already screwed into the SFMU body. One end is the NPT that threads into the body with an O ring, then the other end is the male 6AN flare fitting. But yeah, the part of the fitting that screws into body uses an O ring, but no need to take them out, unless you go about it a diff way emoji

gilee, I said ill sell you my old AN fittings. They hook up to a 4AN and a rubber return line.

Where are you tapping for your fuel pressure gauge? My setup also had a test port fitting with a 1/4 npt you put a hose barb on and run that to your fp gauge.

Mine was shipped with the fittings loose, so I considered them optional. I believe that you will find those fittings to have the same threads on both ends. One end will have a flare and the other will be flat, like the picture above. That makes both ends -06 AN, not NPT. If that was a NPT fitting on the S-FMU, life would have been easy. I wouldn't have had to steal -06 AN to 1/8" NPT fittings from the lab at school.

Ahhhh ok I see what you are saying now. Yeah, the SFMU's I have worked with have those fittings you show here, but they were always already on the SFMU. Hmm go figure emoji
