I know this was on here about a week ago, but I can't seem to find it. How did you guys wire your a/f guage(autometer)? I tapped the white/black stripe for the signal, but where have you guys pulled the power from and grounded it? Did you just run it to something inside or tap into the computer's power and ground?
...and how does your guage act? Is it a circus show or is it consistent? Thanks.

Dude you got the right wire. Ok here is what I did. I ran the ground from the fuse box in the car, and then taped power off of the cigarett lighter, since I don't smoke I don't ever get any weird fluxuations. I think that Corbin has some good instructions on his web site for this. As for how it works, it jumps like crazy, mine is the autometer A/F, and it stays at about the 2nd from last led in the green at WOT. It runs from about the 2nd red led to the about the third green led when you are just driving normal or at idle. Good luck on tuning the car.

Thanks for the instructions. Do you know off hand what color the ECU power is? I would imagine red or red striped or something. Looking in my chiltons' manual is not quite clear what wire is usable for the guage(meaning only on when the car is in the accessory or on position, not all the time). Thanks.

For me, 1995, its a black wire with white stripe. Its larger than the other wires. From what I've seen, alot of the wire colors stay the same, but they change pin #'s on the connectors.

Run the power to either your radio or lighter fuse in your fuse box. Ground it to any bolt (make sure it is metal on metal, not painted) near the gauge.

Dreaming of finding hope in this little 420A!

Yeah, that's what the chilton's says. There is also a black with red stripe wire that looks like it could be power. Just wanted to be sure...and yes, those wires are larger gauge than the other ones. Thanks.
