#62015, "NEW aftermarket FUEL RAIL for NON TURBO eclipse: Came in!!!!"

I didn't know that there was a new fuel rail for our nonturbo cars until a few days ago, its so new you can't find it anywhere (or else I've been shafted) its made by OBX and its pretty tight looking.

PRO's:

higher flow
able to withstand more pressure than the fittings
onepiece aluminum design
looks tight as hell comes in different colors black and silver so far

CON's:

heavier than stock

well, If I am late and you all already know about this then please in the space below, let me know your experiences before I install it this weekend.

Thanks,

Eric

will edit a pic in later.....

And why do you need an aftermarket fuel rail? The stock rails in these cars are powering 300HP turbo charged monsters. Not trying to bring you down, just curious as to why you purchased this product. Did you think it would make you faster?

I can get aftermarket fuel rails for about $100, maybe cheaper. Just have to ask me nicely.

I bought the fuel rail to complete the show worthyness of the engine bay. Don't assume that because I have not posted that I have not been looking over this board or working on my car for a long time.

Looks may not have anything to do with speed but it is a prefrence that I have a right to.

And no I didn't assume that this would make me faster. I mean think for one second, It doesn't modify my fuel injector dutycycle or any other fuel system functions. Did I buy it to create magical HP gains? No, I got it because it was a cool looking addition to my clean engine bay, and cheap. 70.00 shipped to my door.

Someone recently said that a clean engine bay means the car isn't so fast because a real mechanic is too busy working on making the car faster to worry about cleaning. My response to that is, a clean engine bay is just as important as any tool used or part added to your car. Leaks, cracks and odities can be found much quicker with a mint engine bay and you guys all know that.

in conclusion I can only sum this up with: don't hate, appreciate.

Yea, definately post pictures. I'm interested in this also for the same reason you were, show quality. Every part on my car is clean because it is basically a show car. That does not, however, mean that I'm not interested in performance and going fast because I am. Everyone acts as though you can only have one, speed or looks. The truth is if you have enough money you can have both. I like to look good while going fast, and look even better standing still. That's why I'm building this car.

BTW, where did you buy it?

Most people don't have an extra intake manifold to just whip out for pics or demo install but I did so here ya go.

I don't know what this extra tip on the end is for really but it does come with a screw in plug for that end.

Now these cars look good but aren't fast. Fresh out of the shop, you know you love the work we did.

eBay but they have since raised the price up. If you were inclined to purchase one they may be going for around 79.00 BUY IT NOW. plus 5.00 shipping or so. I got mine for 65.00 buy it now plus 5.00 shipping. So it was a pretty good deal.

So it will go nice with my all new set up. Powdercoated Gray intake mani ported and polished (by me), chrome polished and ported TB, Blue top 450cc injectors (being cleaned and blueprinted rightnow $44.00) blue and red caps on steel braided fuel lines and oh so much more looks for my soon to be ludacris rocket.

well, bon voyage! got a show in the morning.

GOTTA KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!!

He's right. My engine bay looks like shit because i spend so much time working on my car i dont need to wonder where the leaks come from - i already know.

Also true. If i didn't spend so much time working on my car, that would sure as shit help in figuring it out.

Glad would bought it for the right reasons.

IMO, the fuel rail doesn't make the car any faster, but that fat turbo on the enxhaust manifold probably does. And wouldn't that second fitting on the end be used for either a fuel return line or maybe a press gauge? emoji

Cars look nice. Nice to see someone taking some shit talking in stride and remaining cool about everything. If 9d9 had acted like you did in this post, he'd still be around! :o

yah, where'd that shiat, smak talkin 9d9 go.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Does this fuel rail have that extra port on it, that is used to run the fuel line for wet nitrous kits?
