Cold numbers 150 60 150 160

hot numbers 179 60 179 180.

I did a leak down test on #2 and it went up to 90. Piston ring or valve? I did the leak down twice with the same results.

I'll bet $100 you have a cracked ring land. It is the first thing to fail on the stock pistons.

Yep, i bet you ran too lean with the nitro, got some detonation, and cracked the piston ring lands on that piston..A cheap fix would be to pull the head, and the oil pan, and find a piston with rings and slap it in there..I did that when i blew my engine the first time..worked really well for the time being..I'm sure lots of guys on here have good, used stock pistons with rings...It will get you by until you can rebuild..if thats what you want to do..

No, Im not turbo. I sold the kit to get some money for school. Well I wanted some power so I was able to find a steal on a nx kit. Lot of good that did me emoji If anything I think I was to rich. I shot a 35 fine then put in the 50 a It would shoot then it would bog a little like it was to rich. Airfuel was pegged blue. I just have no idea. Tim you had a NX kit what jets did you use for your 50? What they reccomended?

Thanks guys, I will be rebuilding this winter.

I suggest reserving some time and get a used piston real quick for the mean time and then get yourself a set of JE's w/ a thicker ring lands but then I know how hard it will be since your in school. But hey, Nitrous is also considred liquid turbo!! emoji

You did not do a leakdown test. you did a wet compression test. A leakdown is completely different..

However, you cracked a piston. Sorry.
