look to the left and up a tad of that sender. thats where you'll see your oil seniding unit. tim you need a 1 1/16th sending gauge socket to get it out.

It'll look like a harness connector, some wire, and a sensor screwed into the block. If you can get under there far enough, it isn't too bad. I can reach it from the top, but then again, I don't have too much under my hood anymore, other then the bare necessities. -=B-=

the harness that plugs into the oil sending unit(if its like mine, a 97 model) should be a neon green color. i HATE the oil sending unit. better have a big wrench. 1999 Black C5 1997 Silver RS Wiseco 8.8:1 Pistons(back to low compression!) mine looked idetical to the one your refering to, (which is the knock sensor I believe) but like ^^^ said it's closer to the drivers side and a little higher up. It's not that bad to get out...I was able to get in there with a 1/2 drive socket wrench. The harness is a little tricky to figure out at first, you have to slide the red tab one way or the other and then press on the green tab and pull. Hope that help
