you will be all ready for turbo, except that one small thing! THE TURBO (kit).

Bad idea imo...unless you have already paid for your kit and are just waiting for it to arrive.

at least he's modding in the correct order. therotically, boost should come DEAD LAST in the order of modding. that way, the *least* amount of downtime/breaking stuff is a given.

Ah... we're going CUSTOM now... good decision! I have a few ideas for a wicked powerful turbo setup. We'll talk about it.

>>So what like....3-4 months of no low end.

Yeah... that's no big deal though. I did the same thing. You'll have less power than stock because of the lowered compression and oversized exhaust. But who cares?!? You'll be boosted more sooner than later and be making lots of power with those mods. On the other hand, why not just put the exhaust on when the turbo goes on? We'll be welding a custom downpipe and re-working the exhaust system anyways. You could just leave the stock exhaust and aftermarket muffler on until then, it's not hurting anything and would be less work. Either way will be just fine though... I guess it's just a matter of personal choice.

>>Xmas money and
>>big 18th b-day in january money

You'll need money... that's for sure! I hope your relatives are rich! emoji

Speaking of money, I got a HUGE increase in salary today! That means there will be HUGE engine mods for me in the very near future! Yay! emoji

TPIG,
Just dont put the 3"exhaust on until it practical, aka when turbocharged. I dont think you'll like it very much with it on.

Thuras head will milled to bring the compression back to near-stock on the 8.8:1 pistons.

Your car will be balls effin slow. I mean, 90wHP slow. Can't even get out of its own way slow. '69 Volkswagon beetle slow. Get it?

Put the 3" cat back on it. Screw it, you're not going to hurt anything - your car will be hard put to outrun kids on Huffies with 8.8:1 static compression NA. it's not gonna get any slower.

yeah, the 8.8:1 compression is going to hurt, but the 3" exhaust isn't going to hurt you, at all, no matter what anyone says. Anyone who tells you that you have to have backpressure to make torque is wrong. Period, no questions about it, they are dead fucking wrong, beacuse you don't. SportCompactCar cut off the exhaust on their NA SE-R and just welded on a 3" 3foot long pipe, and it made power at EVERY part of the power band. The EXACT same thing happened when they did that with a honda they had too, a FREAKING HONDA, the least torque having thing on earth made more torque with open exhaust. So yeah, the 3" will only help you. If anyone tells you different, spit at them for being stupid.

I kno I will be slower than moses, but winter is coming around the corner...no need for speed...(ok maybe acceleration, which I wont have lol) As long as I can still pretend drift in icy parkin lots...I'll be fine during the winter emoji
