well i've been getting some parts together and i have the crane springs(yes they FINALLY came) and the eaton pt cruiser lifter/lashers. now i hear alot of guys talking about needing new retainers when going with cams?? would the OEM style retainers work with aftermarket cams? and some guys have the pt rockers... when doing all the work are these necessary. Basically im asking what is necessary when going with cams, and what is optional. Thanks for the help guys.

stock valves should be fine also with the stock retainers? replace the springs with stiffer springs and new lifters and rockers?? i can stick out my money for new rockers if necessary, but where is the best place to get the new rockers?

when i did my rebuild i did the head also. eveything except cams. new SS valves, lifters, rockers, crane vavle springs and retainers. i was there so i said what the hell might as well. i would atleast do the lifter, and rockers, if you can do the valves also.
