I really need some help on this one guys. I go to drive my car and I get a CEL light. I have quite a few mods, and the CEL comes on very infrequently but at random times. So I just blew it off for a little while to see if it would just go back off like it usually does. Unfortunately, it was on for about 3hrs ( not constant driving) and my car started acting like it was running on 3 cylinders. I have new bosch platinum 4 spark plugs. Please help if you have any sudgestions or if you would like a better description just ask. Please help and thanks a lot.

I had the same problem when I put in the new cams. My first suggestion would be to check out the trouble codes or pending codes for the MIL(malfuncion indicator lamp). My problem was the MAP sensor, and the EGR system. I first replaced the MAP sensor and that did not fix it. When I replaced the Exhaust Gas Resurculation Valve and Solenoid, it ran like a charm.

Do you think that my AFC controller could be causing any problems due to it tricking the MAP sensor? Where would be the best place to get the parts?
thanks for you help guys, much appreciated.
Little side note.... Worts luck this morning. I wake up to my mother telling me to go look at my car cuz my step dad just backed into it. I am in the navy and am only home on vacation for 5 days. Now I have no ride, and a way to get back to my command until my car is fixed

Unfortunately I didn't have an oportunity to get that code checked out because of my idiot stepfather backing into my car. Repairs are going to cost $3000.00... I can't stand my family sometimes...
