Just making sure this is the right one. Mel-190 Anyone know for sure, bfore I order it from summitracing.com? On their site it says 89-94, but its the only 2.0L listed, and te rest listed are 2.4 and 1.8s, plus its close to the same price as Howell Automotive of $89.99. Summit is $84.99...so I bet this is the one i need.

PS. Anyone wanna list the product #s for ARP head studs...before I search sometime...lol

Thanks

Is it possible that the oil pump from autozone a rebuilt? Most of the items that category are rebuilt items. This might be just fine though. If so, the cost difference would be about right.

I got mine from Howell and it is at my engine builders shop right now or I would check it for you. It is brand new and I thought it said it was a high flow performance pump. It has been a while since I looked at it though. I am also getting the pump blueprinted when it is installed for increased flow.

Just as info, it doesnt really matter if the pump is rebuilt or new, because there are only 2 moving rotors in the pump itself, a relief valve and spring. Thats all there is to the internal workings of the oil pump. If you get a rebuilt one, it comes with all new of those parts, and the housing is the used part...housings dont wear or go bad...i Rebuilt my stock oil pump for about 45 bucks, parts at the dealer. I get great oil pressures.

Maybe im not understanding and Im about to make myself look like an idiot...but is it not the housing that increases the oil flow?

Mellings housings is same as stock. What contgrols pressure is the pressure relief spring. It controls how much pressure the opil pump puts out.
