I'm replacing the headgasket like many of you are now. But I was wondering whats the best way to clean the threads of the head bolts? What did you use, and what did you do?

I can think of maybe long q-tips, or maybe filling the hole with wb-40 and wait for the debree to float to the top, but im afraid the debree might go to worser places. Or did you blow the debree out? Use degreaser? I know you guys probably think im stupid, but im just playing it safe.
