Hey guys, sometimes when i jump in my car, reverse, and drive to a stop light or stop sign, when I hit the brakes, and then try to press the gas and go, nothing will happen. Like, I press the gas and the engine will rev and feels like the car is in neutral, but it is drive. (Automatic)
After usually 4-6 seconds of this, you can feel the engine "click" over, and then I know I can press the gas and will be able to move again.

I've had warranty work done on my auto twice. Firt time it would shift whenever it wanted an second it wouldn't shift out of first gear. They replaced the range sensor and the input sensor and it's been fine since. I'm not sure about your problem, but I do know that our trannies have a few sensors on them that have been known to mess up. Have them check it out for you. Hope this helps.

Hey alright someone with the same problem. I havnt checked into mine yet although I should soon. For me it only happens when its really cold out or right when I back out of my driveway and than put it into drive and it doesnt do anything for a while and than all of a sudden kicks into gear. Oh well It happens rarely although it pisses me off. ICQ #2199879 AOL - EvuLFleA stillk@geocites.com

Yep, you and I and Evuflea have the exact same symptoms. Only happens when I pull out after the car has been sitting over many hours. It used to stall kinda and I was told it was the fuel injectors and then I had those cleaned and hadnt had a problem for a long time. Now it happens regularly, this morning I was pulling out of my driveway and I have to go slightly downhill to do so, i went down and turned my wheel, pressed the pedal and nothing happened, then all of a sudden it kicks in and Im spinning tires. The I get to the end of my neightborhood and stop at the stop sign and wait for side to dide traffic to pass, then I press the pedal to get into traffic and my car slips out again, i almost got t-boned ... luckily the car got into gear, but im telling you it was close as hell.
