i recently purchased a rebiuldable short block and now that i have time to work on it i need it off the ground so i bought a eng. stand, but i have no clue what size bolts i need to connect the block to the stand? I know someone has rebuilt an engine out there. help

Use the bolts that come with the stand. It worked on my JDM 4G63, I don't see why it won't work for the 420A.

Use the tranny mount bolt holes.
