Hey Yall, it's me, thanks for tellin me Lol, anyways i got all that stuff for 200 bucks so i'm pretty mad, but anyways I am now selling all of it on Ebay for any money i can get off of it. I am now looking at a turbo kit and I hear all of you mention the Stars turbo kit...I already know about the HRC turbo but not the stars. If anyone of you guys could help me out with some info and let me know which turbo kit is the best to go with and the price that would be great (and if you guys dun care can you add a copuple kits to put on that could boost it up for me?) thanks yall and I appreciate the advice.

Sincerely,

Turbo8u: He's only been a member for 2 days... he probably hasn't even noticed that there is a search option emoji.

As far as your turbo kit selection goes, you are pretty limited. The only 2 companies that produce real kits for our cars are HRC and Star Performance. Most people say that the HRC install is more straight forward with good instructions, and I can vouch for their great tech support. Soooo, I would say that if you are not very comfortable installing the kit already, go with HRC. But, if you feel comfortable installing everyting without much instruction, I think the star kit would be a good way to go. There are positives and negatives about both kits. If you use the search feature to search for star and hrc info, you will find more than you would ever want to read. My list of pros and cons are as follows:

HRC
pros: good instructions, good tech support, nice piping, easily upgradable through HRC
cons: bad fuel pressure regulator, bad fuel cut defenser (for 1996+ cars only), side mount intercooler is standard (Stage 2 and FMIC optional), partial downpipe included

Star:
pros: larger standard garret turbo, standard front mount intercooler (stage 2), full downpipe included
cons: standard fuel pressure regulator is not adjustable (static pressure), poor instructions, poor MAP voltage clamp, less tech support

Good luck deciding.

Welcome to the family, do your research, read and ask questions here because most of these guys have seen it and done it repetitivly so when they tell you something you can believe its the gospel. It's been an ongoing debate here forever over the best turbo kit, but I agree I have seen more opinions go toward HRC, but you do the math and figure out which one will work best on your ride and what your money will allow you to have. Just because it's cheeeaper doesn't always mean it's beeeetter. Peace!
BOOST!-Tis far better to have it and not need it-than to need and not have it. emoji I'll drink to that
