anyone have an idea what can cause the 30 amp fusible link for the motor under the hood to keep burning out. as soon as i put a new one in it blows. i know its gotta be shorted but im trying to figure out exactly what goes to that fuse so i can eliminate soem possibilities. any help will be appreciated. thanks

i had this happen. check this. the cap on the block, at the top. is silver looking, and has a small wire at the cap going somewhere. check that wire, i would remove that cap and inspect it. from there just check any add on wires you did, and if any wires are touching the egr tube under the intake tube. and the camshaft sensor deal.
let us know

the fuse is blowing right as you put the new one in? without trying to turn on the engine? not sure if that is the situation or not.... also.. give us a list of the mods you have done to your car. that might help in trying to find the short. i would also check your egr system.. that has been known to cause shorts.

on a side note.. if you have the means of getting to another dealership (dodge would prob be best), then you can get those fuses for around $4.50... those bastards are hard to find and they are expensive. this is bringing back bad memories from my troubles.

hang in there man.

for the egr system... you may want to check the solenoid and the wiring. but its just weird that you are having problems blowing the fuses without the car even being in the on position.. not really too sure what could be causing that. double check that capacitor on the block next the ic piping.. make sure it is secure. aside from that.. its going to be hard to find... good luck adn keep us updated.
