Ok well a couple months ago I installed a DxD racing clutch from South Bend Clutch. I have come to the conclusion that it is slipping. Today I was sitting at a bridge and I went to do a burnout. When I let the clutch out the engine revved up to 7 k but I didnt move more than a couple feet and I didnt hear any screeching from the tires. The clutch also felt a little spongey. This might also be the reason why my car feels so damn slow and dosent spin the tires much at the top of first and second. By the way im running 16 psi. The clutch also didnt seem to grab really hard from day one. I was in my friends nissan and his clutch feels so much more grippier. The clutch also grabs high on the pedal I have it adjusted so it should grab as low as possible, blead the clutch and even did the washer thing on the slave cylinder. If I do need a new clutch what one should I get? I think If I have to spend all this money again I should get an aluminum flywheel at least. I wan t a clutch that will grab hard and last long. Please help me out guys. Let me know what ou thing could be wrong or how I can test the clutch.

make sure you aren't leaking any fluid from the master or slave cylinder..

at 16psi im surprised it lasted as long as it did...

you need a stage 3 ceramic sprung hub design clutch that is the best route for your car since its street driven alot...

spec makes one very good quality, clutchmasters has an over priced one,

spec and fidanza both have aluminum flywheels out..

while your doing it grab a new stainless clutch line from rre to improve clutch feel... its 20$

The DXD is a ceramic/kevlar 6 puck clutch. Isnt that the same sort of clutch as the spec?

may not be up to par witht eh other clutches out their i dont know the design of their clutches but if its ceramic and kevler the kevlar will forsure fail quickly at 16psi...

Where can I get A good clutch disc and pressure plate from? I still have my old stock flywheel so Im gona surface that and bolt on some new goodies. Hopefully this will save some money. I decided not to go wiht an alum flywheel after reading a previous post.
