#59669, "Engine and/or exhaust whistle"

This problem has probably been addressed elsewhere on the forum but I failed to find a definite answer, although I did read several posts that may have been the answer to my question. My car makes a high pitched whistling noise when I pull out to pass someone on the highway. I can make minor adjustments on the accelerator and that will take care of it but I'm wondering what it could be and how I can fix it. It almost sounds like it has a slight "gurgling" noise to the whistle and the sounds seem to be coming from the rear/center and not from the front (engine). It's been doing it for about a month and I've never experienced this with any of my GSs. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Driving a GS (no mods) for over 12 years:
91 GS totalled at 150k miles
95 GS 196+k miles and still going!

start looking for a new exhaust. Mine does it.. I know a couple people who had this problem the changed the exhaust and that fixed the problem.

Good Luck

does the whistle go "WOOOOT!!", and is it just like "a 'lam clack"?

sorry, i couldnt resist. emoji

i also agree that its exhaust related. i would check for leaks around the area you mentioned, could be a slightly-blown gasket or somthing.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:
