Uhm. I'd say if you don't want to mess with the afc, and you would like a stock sounding exhaust, the the milder cams.
>cam gears: I assume they're all just as easy to adjust (not >like I'd ever set them more than once or twice)... so, crane >or AEM?
I've heard good things about AEM. don't know anything about cranes.

I have an obx b3 muff welded to the stock piping and gutted cat. it sounds great, and it comes with a silencer. with the silencer in it is almost stock, and with it out it leaves you with a mean ass growl! If you are on a budget i'd recommend the obx type H on ebay. cheap as hell and most people have very good luck with it. otherwise, stay away from pacesetter and greddy is always a great choice... can't tell ya what to do on this one really. all aftermarket cat backs will be loud as far as i know in that range unless they come with a silencer. when i know i'm going on a long trip i pop it in and when i get into town i pull it out. gl!
>UDP: any real benefit from spending more on the unorthodox >one? >
I have just paid for an afx UDP. 140 bucks right now and they come with the bando belts. if you don't tighten those down all the way they tend to squeak. so i got some gatorbacks. the afx is 30% underdrive, dynoed and proven. noone that i know of has had any problems. obx, and top fuel etc are not 30% prolly like 15% or 20%. if you are gonna do it, spend an extra 20 bucks and get the afx. >oh, and gas budget... will the car still run decent on >unleaded plus? (what I'm running now) > >oh yeah, and to top this all off, I actually do need new >tires, so I'll be getting some potenza 205/55/WR16's on enkei >rims... yay, splurge on car time! >
i know how you feel. but kinda like having sex and getting a girl pregnent. you'll feel damn good at first, and hella sick afterwards. at least i'd assume so. the only thing that would really affect detonation would be the cams maybe.....or the gears. i'd say you're just fine. wooptie!
