I'm part way through taking my head off (jesus christ this is a bitch of a project) but I am can't seem to get the bolt for the crank pulley (altenator/ power steering) off. To be more specific I can't get the stupid pulley not to spin while I'm torqueing the bolt. I tried jabbing a wrench in the pulley but there was nothing to wedge it against.

How did you guys do it?

Thanks in advance,

Dean.

I just put a socket on the bolt and a breaker bar over the socket. I left one end of the breaker bar sitting on the ground and turned the key on and let the starter do the loosening.
if you do this, remember to unplug your spark plug wires so that the car doesn't start.

peace

ok I got that stupid bolt off and now I'm trying to use the 3/2 jaw puller to get the pulley off. I'm turning really hard and it doesn't seem like its doing anything. Do these just take alot of force to get off?

I'm pretty sure I have it set up right, jaws on the bigger part of the pulley and the bolt thing pushing into the bolt hole.
