I remember awhile back someone was asking if this is possible. I have a picture of the tool that I was talking about making to make this possible. Check it out:

2.3L Stroker, AEM EMS Converted to Speed Density, FP3065 Turbo, 35psi , and so on...

All you need to do is fill the cylinders with compressed air. This will hold the valves up. Then swap out your springs. Kind of like doing a leak down test.

Look closer there's an air hose running down the spark plug well.

My suggestion would be to make the pipe/pivot poit a little longer and have it go between two cam caps.

Nicely done, now just make it pretty and start selling it :-P

My only worry would be scratching the inside of the cam caps on the top. Neat idea, though.

I don't think that the tool that you just listed, Jim, will fit between the casting of the head and the valve spring. It might be possible to make it work, though. I just don't know...

Yeah, most definitely not. I rented two different valve spring compressors before I went out and bought one that actually worked... and that was with the head off! Even some of the "OHC" ones don't work on our heads
