Is there any other way to relieve fuel pressure besides disconecting the fuel pump and then turning the car over? The reason I ask is because I'm part way through taking my head off and I"ve already taken the valve cover, the power steering belt, and the altenator belt off and I'm hoping not to have to put all that shit back on.

um...yea well your pretty much screwed. you are either going to have to put it all back on....or somehow relieve it via the test port on the fuel rail somehow

Easy get a rag and a small screwdriver. put the rag over the test port after you've taken the cap off. Then push the screwdriver into the test port to relieve pressure. I've only once ever seen any real pressure in the system, usually nothing.

If you've used the test port as a return line for a modified fuels system... then yeah... just unbolt thje fuel line from the rail and be ready for spraying fuel.

Why do you need to relieve fuel pressure? changing injectors? redoing fuel system? Otherwise just leave it alone and put the rail to the side.
