well my cel was removed by whoever had the car before me, so i decided to put a new one in, well, doing that required taking the steering wheel off, and the air bag, which is why the srs light came on im assuming, anyway to make it turn off ? thx

Nope. Resetting the ECU wont reset the SRS light. The only way to reset the SRS light, that I know of is the dealer. The Airbags/SRS uses a separate brain. I don't understand why you had to remove the steering wheel to put the CEL light back in though. The gauge cluster can be easily removed without taking out the steering wheel.
