According to the OBX website the non-turbo and turbo wires are the same part #. Sounds kinda fishy to me. Here is the part diagram:
http://www.obxracingsports.com/performance.cfm?catID=3&subcatID=13

There are some APC wires on ebay that are like 9. something in daigram. They are listed as vehicle specific.

bs...plug wires are plug wires. there wont be much difference among brands. the size however may play a vital role in better spark, etc...

WRONG, Different material used will make a difference in the resistance of the wire, which would effect the performance value of it.

Granted thats true, but there is no way, and I mean NO WAY spark plug wires could create 15 HP. They might restore 1- 5 lost HP if you are using really old, crappy burnt out wires. But the only way they could create 15 HP is if you were running on 3 cylinders and then put new wires on and got the 4th cylinder back, lol.

I'll believe it when I see a dyno. It said 15% horsepower increase. If a stock 2gnt gets 125 horsepower, that's an increase of 18 horsepower. I seriously doubt spark plug wires can make this power. That's the equivalent of an UDP and cold air intake on a cold day.

It's kind of like when an intake manufacturer says a certain type of CAI will make 25 horsepower. In the fine print it says it was tested on a 450 horsepower Corvette. Some kid with a Civic will think - damn, if I put this on my car I'll get 25 horsepower. Wrong.

All those wires are going to do is smooth out idle and acceleration. If I thought for a second I could get 18 horsepower out of a set of spark plug wires, they'd be on my car in a second.

Not trying to be an asshole, just tired of bogus horsepower claims.

I agree, like you said, the amount of gains depends on the application. Different cars will react to different mods differently (hope that makes sense) emoji

And here is a direct quote from MAGNACOR's website about bogus HP gains.

Claims of Horsepower Gain

Every brand of spiral conductor ignition wires will perform the function of conducting coil output to the spark plugs, but NONE, despite the claims made in advertisements and other promotional literature, will increase horsepower. Independent tests, including a test performed by Circle Track Magazine (see May, 1996 issue) in the USA, show that NO "low-resistance" ignition wires for which a horsepower increase is claimed do in fact increase horsepower - the test also included comparisons with solid metal and carbon conductor ignition wires.

Here is the link if you want to read about all the other claims that many manufacturers make about their wires...
