today im driving down the road and all of a sudden my speedometer dropped to 0...then i notice my odometer stopped moving as well...theres no blown fuses so i dont know what else to look for, honestly i dont even know what makes the speedometer move, id assume some kind of sensor, but my Chiltons is at my dads so its no help here...nany information would b greatly appreciated

Look at your speed sensor. It's the sensor on your transmission by the rear transmission mount. It should be right under your throttle body. Check the harness to make sure it is plugged in completely. If it is the sensor maybe bad and should be replaced. Another thing that could go bad is the ring gear around the differential in the trans. Is plastic and could possibly break. Hopefully it's not that because that would require removing and opening hte transmission.

ok well i started with the obvious and well luckily it turned out for hte best, i just went up under my dash and jiggled and pushed in the cable that runs to the dash and it fixed it .. thx

yeah I had that problem also. I pulled out the contacts on connector in the middle where the signal comes in so it would make a better connection.
