I tried searching and can't find what i'm looking for. Just recently i had a pretty bad oil leack coming from the top of the head so i decided to change the valve cover gasket. After doing so and letting the sealant dry over night and then some i drove it. After about 5 mins. The car starts over heating. So i park it at home and there's a shitload of smoke coming from the engine bay. Oil is leaking onto the exhaust mani. So i follow the oil trail up a little and there's a crack coming from the valve cover boltin the center of the head. It's about 2 inches long. Is there any possible way to fix this maybe like JB weld or something or is my only alternative to buy another head? I'm going crazy here please and advise is greatly apreciated. TIA

Its in the head. But this is really werid. Because i'm sure oil is hitting the mani, but i just opened the coolant cap and its empty. so i fill it and its leaking so fast i cant even fill it all the way. WTF? At fist i thought waterpump but its leaking from behind the engine. Could this bea hose or something? Damnit. I'm confused now. And as for the oil leaking it only leaks when the engine is really hot so could not coolant cause this? maybe the oil is getting hot and breaking down so it leaks through the small cracks?

Check the two heater hoses that run along the driver's side of the head to the firewall behind the motor. Especially check where the hardlines meet the rubber hoses, right next to the battery.

Dino, thank you so much. I checked out the heater hose going to the firewall.... turns out one has a hole about 3 inches long. Where can i get a replacement? Also whats the best way to get at it bottom or top cuz theres a shitload of stuff blocking it. I love this board

Dealer, if you want the custom molded kind, or AutoZone (or whatever you have) if you just want to run a new hose. it's just standard 3/8th (i think?) heater hose, nothing special.
The intake manifold is kinda in the way of the connections to the firewall. Might have to remove it - i don't know, i've never split one. It'd be easier goign from the top, i don't think you can get to them from the bottom at all.
