After a LOT os hard work, she finally started about 30 minutes ago. Sure enough, the machine shop messed up on the timing. Turns out the dowel on the exhaust camshaft was straight down instead of straight up. And boy was it hard so fix. Timing is a pain in the ass. After we fixed it she started on the first try.....only been down a little over 10 months lol!!!!The timing still needs to be adjusted by the aem cam gears a little tho cuz it sounds like an old muscle car right now.Ill post pics soon as i figure out how.

U sure the cams sound like this tho..i mean i know there gonna have a lobe to them, but this sounds like the car's gonna die if i don't give it gas. I thought the gears needed tweeked a lil. I set the cam gears dead on the marks and everyone says those marks are off on the AEM gears by like half a tooth. I lined them up w/ the factory ones and them didnt appear off, but i figured if they were then that would account for some of the lobe i'm hearing maybe.

Yup, I have the Crower 2 and they lope real nice
Do you have an S-AFC? The idle can be cleaned up a little with the S-AFC, because of the lower vacuum created with the cams, the ECU wants to add more fuel. With the ported head and cam, I'm adjusted -30% at 1000 rpm. Granted a lot of that is due to the ported head, but I think I was around -15% before (it was a guess, the -30% was done with a datalogger)
You can do a little tweeking with the cam gears as well.
15.9 @ 86.7mph
Smooth idle? We don't need no stinking smooth idle.

sounds cool then i guess i wont try messing w/ the cam gears too much to do away with that sound now i just gotta take the intake manifold BACK off to install my alternator(tried for 2 days to put it on from underneath and cannot do it). I think I will go ahead and advance the intake side 2 degrees tho since that seams to be the general consensus for the best setting.
