I have a problem with my trans. Someone is selling me one off a 98 Eclipse GS , but I have a 96 GS. Will it fit my car?? Both cars have the same engine and I think the same trans. Is there any difference between the two? Both are automatic w/overdrive.

no. out of curiosity, how much did you pay for that tranny?

-97 GS (First project, 299 whp)(sold)
- 97 RS 2.6 last numbers: 306hp, 352tq @16psi (Dead, parted out)
- 99 GS OZ, Hahn Kit, 56k miles (Sold)

No there is no difference or no it will not fit? I have not purchased it yet.
