Do a search, this was discussed before and the same conclusion comes up.......That it is a bunch of BS. I am by no means an expert on the internal combustion engine, but I have a UDP along with the majority of peeps on here and I don't think anyone (since I have been here) has experienced any problems caused by a UDP.

AFX UDP is one of the BPUs most here would consider MANDATORY. Whoever told you it's a bad idea is no one you want to pay to work on your car. Buy it. Rent the tool and install it yourself in about an hour. You WON'T regret it.

Welcome to the family. Stick around and learn many new things grasshopper. emoji

on alot of engines UDP can harm the motor the 420a it doesn't...

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

Very true. It can be a bad addition to some engines. The 420A loves it emoji trust me, you'll like the power increase

Yup, 420A does not have a balancer pulley, just a damper. There's no damage and I say less strain on the engine due to the lower rotational mass. There's less stress now, buy, install and enjoy.

Smooth idle? We don't need no stinking smooth idle.
