called a guy up today, ad says he bends pipes. he said he could fabricate a 2 1/2 or 2 1/4 non mandrel bent catback + flowmaster60 muffler, install it, etc. for just under $400 (that might've been 2 1/4"). I assume it'd be the same (roughly) as a pacesetter monza, which I believe is not mandrel bent. got two questions: how much of a drone does a flowmaster cause at the 3000rpm range? (I drive into work at around 65mph - yay for back country state roads ) secondly, would that be a good figure for gaskets, piping, and muffler? on the other hand, how much would I benefit from an apexi catback for ~500, taking into consideration the highway speeds I'm almost always going at, and adding in the labor to get the rusty one out? I'm not really sure about throwing a turbo on my car with 70k, or doing every modification in the book. only thing I might do someday is throw in some crower/crane cams, but the max performance possible isn't a big goal.

That is way to high imo. I got quoted for my Hyundai at $350 with manderal bends. I know that my catback is shorter, but for a non-manderal bent exhaust being that much is way too much.
I have the Apex'i on the 95 RS and it sounds great. The interior sound level is very quiet unless your on it past 3k, but crusing at 3k isn't bad at all. I got mine for $476 shipped from http://64.176.145.60/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=NLM&Category_Code=MEE (direct link to purchase). If you e-mail them tell them that Brian told you about it:thumbsup.
