Ok i searched and found a few different sources. Ok, it did it before the rebuild, but not as bad. Could my catalac converter be stopped up? Or maybe spark plug wires? I checked the wires and it seems there is some rust on the 2nd and 3rd wires. I dont guess the previous owner took that much care of it. So could these be my problems? Also, when i checked my plugs, i had oil on them. Does anyone know the cause of that? Thanks in advance

Number one, change your plugs and wires. Number two, order a valve cover gasket set from your local parts store and replace them. Number three, does your exhaust sound muffled? If so your cat "could" be clogged. How many miles do you have on the motor? Let me know and i'll help you out as much as i can.

Well i just rebuilt the motor 1k ago. It has all new gaskets everywhere, new plugs also. I just dont know what to do anymore but its really getting on my nerves

u may be right, but u can just unscrew it out and phsically inspect it.

If the o2 sensor is dying it will not throw a cel. Mine was going bad and i could tell that it was dying, my gas mileage was aweful and i had a stutter in acceleration. I would replace it anyways if its stock, seeing that you just rebuilt the motor and all. Muffler shops can test your cat in 15 minutes or so, and its pretty cheap too. Hope this help

did you gap the plugs properly? i went 0.044 with the ngk bkr5e-11's i put in SAT. that way with the eventual wear/whatnot they will still be gapped decently (0.045-0.050). i would check the cat out, mine started getting "clogged" around 80k miles. i'll sell u my high flow if u want it...just let me know. goodluck.

**also might want to check for vaccuum leaks, they can be a bitch.

before you go and buy new plug wires, especially if they are new or anything, ohm them out with a multimeter. they should be in specs with the manual. not sure what it is tho. sometimes peopl have a problem with 1 sometimes 2 of the wires. just do a tune up, like fuel filter, air filter, etc. and coil pack could be a problem. there is a way to test that but i do not know how. anyone else know?

Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

Well today my fucking alternator went out. So i had to buy a new one. Well i bought plug wires at the same time. Seems to have fixed my problem. I'm still going to get my cat checked though, because my exhaust is sounding like muffled or something. Maybe thats why. Thanks everyone
