Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the Napa brand timing belt? It was like $50 and the oem one was 80 something. I'm on a budget now

I've been using one from Autozone for a couple years now, if that helps any. It was about $45. What matters is the actual manufacturer. Mine was from a major (and old) manufacturer of rubber products, so I didn't worry.

I'd like 2 say mine came from NAPA, AutoZone was out or something... don't remember, but I think so. Anyways, no probs here after ~1yr & ~30k miles

I would say for somethign as important as the timing belt, stick with OEM or Gatorbacks. Afterall, you only want to do the work once.

I run the Napa Timing belt. Never had any issues with it. Its a very high quality belt anyway..

Carquest brand belts are actually better. I put them on cars all the time and rarely do they come back. We use to use napa and autozone, but carquest belts proved to be the best for the buck. You can usally talk them down a few bucks if you stay persistent at it. Well g/l with it

The Napa belt is made by Gates and it's one of the best timing belts you can buy for the 420A. All my belts are Napa logo Gates brand.

all i have ran is napa timing belts and ive never had any problems with them

For whats it's worth, I run a Napa timing belt also.....no problems here.
