I needed a cheap solution to quick tune my SFMU. I remember a post about using a oil pressure gauge as a fp gauge. Dino had said that it would work because it is both liquid measutment in PSI. So I bought a 20$ oil pressure gauge at napa and IT WORKED!. Tuned my fuel system perfectly. Here is the only question..
Does gas eat plastic? They used the plastic sending shit like they use in boost gauges. On my real Oil pressure gauge they used a copper tubing just like this one. I will prob end up getting one. But do you think gas will eat that plastic tubing?

Poor man's napalm? Have you seen the price of gas lately?

Actually, I think gas eats the glue that binds the styrofoam beads together...not the styrofoam itself. But gas can be bad for some plastics..so it's basicaly a crap shoot. But here's and example for you...open your gas cover...what do you see there?...that's right plasti
*edit*
Also tons of gas tanks are made of plastic because they don't rust and I think I just filled my lawn mower with a plactic gas can.
I say take a glass jar fill it with gas and put the part (a piece of the part) in question in it over night and see what happens

Depends on the plastic. I'd use it as a quick tuning tool, but i sure wouldn't leave it there permenantly.

Yeah I posted about that, but I used the autometer one. It has an electronic sending unit so I didn't worry about gas eating plastic. It did work but the gauge i have is a 1/4 sweep and reacts very slow. Basically useless, so ill be using that for oil pressure and having the fuel pressure gauge under the hood since I am going to the 8 injector setup.

sorry bad reply , but i was in a hurry.
Yes it depends on the plastic. Some are made to withstand gas and other chemicals, some arnt. Plastic is made or based petrolium or similar things. so in the end...ive just conffused everyone.. including myself
