yeah you should have done it. your probably getting a check engine light from the rear O2 sensor. you need to wire in a resistor and you won't get the CEL any more.

i did it emoji i had to do it with my car still connected to the flex pipe, cuz the upper bolts were too farkin hard to get off. so yah, i did it the hard way. just beat the fug out of it then blew it all out the back. emoji
pros:more power, lighter car(little bit)
cons:won't pass emmisions if you have them, stinky car and like you said smoke
my car is a 95 and i beleive they do not have a downstream o2. so i don't get a cel heh. well, i gots cels but not pertaining to that. what is a common cel for a gutted kitty? any 95's get a cel from it? i'm 0bd1 that is obdII complient. <- thats what i've been told.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

when I gutted mine I didnt get any white smoke out of my exhaust, but that could just be left over catalyst thats coming out. Whenever I launch my car though I do get a puff of black smoke out the exhaust.

you better believe 95's have a downstream o2. from what i hear it's more fogiving but mine gives me the catalytic CEL 90% of the time. i dont know exactly whats up with my cat because the exhaust was installed already when i bought the car, but i've been meaning to get a real one once i go turbo. all i know is that i have a downstream o2 and i can see it when i get under the car.

sucker MC
